I heard from Richard this morning. He tells me that Mahlon said he was coming. Richard is still trying to encourage Ginger to join us...but no commitment yet. Hope he's successful. I know many of us would like to see her after these many years. Thanks, Richard, for your help.
I also heard from Howard today. He said John Smith is coming, which is good news. I still haven't heard from John Patton (I'm not certain he received my letter) nor John Carpenter. Can anyone help me out with these two? Howard has also been in touch with the Ruchs (they are coming) and Damon Burrows (Damon is seeking permission from his wife...as many of you henpecked fellows have to do). We hope they join us. Thanks, Howard, for you assistance.
With John Smith, the Ruchs and Mahlon on board, we're closing in on twenty classmates who will make an appearance. That's great, but thirty would be even better.
Anyone know how to reach Karen and Vickie? Last I knew, they lived in Irving, TX, and Arlington, TX, respectively. And can someone dynamite John Carpenter out of those red hills west of Carpenter. Be careful not to knock down any wind turbines. Hey, Nannie, where are you? Roy, Roy, Roy! Come on now. You and the Mooneys live close...join us. And Arwelda, we're still counting on you to show up...despite your poor track record. Shirley, did you get my message? Anyone know if Shirley still lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas?
Thanks for the help, folks. We're gathering a crowd!!!

Missing in Action
We haven't heard from the Johns (Carpenter, Patton, Smith)...nor the Ruchs...nor Vickie and Karen down in North Texas...nor Roy and Mahlon...or Virginia and the Mooneys...Daryl, Jerry and Harry Lee...Edith, Nannie & Margaret. That's over one-half the class, folks! Hope Bill Jordon and Damon Burrows joins us again. Help me stir the pot. We want everyone to show up.

Reunion Update
Now we're cooking!! As mentioned below, Norma is coming, and I just heard from Judy that Eddie Stalcup and his wife (from Gallup, NM) will join us. Judy also told me that Sue is probably coming (all the way from NY), and that Carrol is coming (all the way from Elk City). Disturbingly, Judy told me she might not be able to make it. Let's not allow that to happen. For the past two reunions, she was kind enough to host our function and would have done so again this time...so, anyone with influence over Judy, use it. Insist...no, demand...that she be there.
Counting JUDY & SUE, our prospective attendance is now up to fifteen. Except for Catherine (who's attending a grandchild graduation that same weekend), we're still shooting for a perfect attendance. Help out, everybody! Call around and encourage everyone to come. Thanks.

Another Long-Distance Graduate is Coming
Norma (Castleberry)Jones will be joining us on the 23rd...all the way from the East Coast. Bub is traveling quite a distance, too. Let's turn out to seem them.

Reunion Update
Things are looking up. We now have ten confirmations (I think). They are:
Richard Givens; Ronnie Rennels; my blog partner, David Flick; Sharon Dugger (Sharon mailed an updated bio, but didn't specifically say she was coming...we're counting on her); Howard Stewart (thanks for the photos, Howard; Jimmie Noblitt; Bub Murdock (Johnny and Sissy plan to visit us, too. We welcome their attendance...and all other guests for that matter). Bub sent a photo of his really handsome family. Tells me anything is possible; Bud & Carolyn Wynn; and Johnny Shockey.
Arwelda says she might come, and we're always hopeful. Norma has not committed. Catherine Mosley has a conflict. Her granddaughter is graduating from high school that same weekend. We'll miss her. Billy Whitson can't make it. Virginia is iffy. Don't know about Vickie. Haven't heard from Sue in awhile. Don't know if she'll be joining us.Bill Jordon usually joins us, but I haven't heard from him this time around. Margaret and Karen, where are you? And Edith??
How about you classmates from New Mexico (Eddie Stalcup), Arkansas (Shirley Wilson), and other out-of-state places? Unfortunately, I haven't heard from many of the "locals either." We need help, Judy! Too far to drive, folks? Nannie, Mahlon, John C., John P., John S., the Mooneys, Carrol, Harry Lee, the Ruchs, Roy, Daryl. It would be a pleasure to see each and every one of you. Hope you can make it.
C'mon people, join us...Jerry's getting old (he may already be gone. I haven't heard from him, either). This may be his last chance to see you. We'll keep plugging away...still optimistic about generating a crowd.
Remember! Saturday, May 23 at the Holidome. The banquet room will be open as early as you want to get there and will remain open through and after the HHS Alumni banquet, which will be held in Elk City that same evening.

Guess who's coming to dinner?
Based on your responses to my recent letter (zero responses) discussing the upcoming 50th class reunion, I don't have a clue. Shall we simply take it on faith that a certain number will show up, or cancel this darn thing due to a general lack of interest. I have a choice to make...a family reunion in June or this reunion in May. It would be great to see everyone, but if you don't plan to be there...
I'll make one more plea. Call me at 281-370-1319 (office) or 281-376-4135 (home) or 281-744-6329 (cell) or email me at hwynn1941@comcast.net or write me at 17214 Hillview Lane, Spring, TX 77379 and let me know if you're coming or not.
After notifying me, how about calling your classmates and urging them to come to the reunion. We can make this thing work yet! Look forward to seeing everybody in May.
